Michael Telkmann
Advisor and Producer
Michael, or Telke, is intrinsically passionate about the deeper, social layers between humans, migration and education of the young, and is dedicating a big part of his work, through one NGO that he has founded (Vasudeva e.V.) and another one which he is running, to the strengthening of human relations and the growth of harmony amongst each other.
He has been a major support and accelerator to Omid's path as a filmmaker and to his artistic growth, continuously and unconditionally present, mostly in the background, one could say as a pillar or backbone, almost since day one. Later the the two collaborated closely as a producer-director duo for two film documentaries, one with 90min feature length and one with 40min length, both intended to be screened at and experienced in cinemas (see cinema section for more information). Along the way they have also executed countless smaller scale film productions, mostly for global NGO projects but also for businesses like a 30sec cinema trailer for a local VW car dealer, another cinema trailer for a regional bank as well as a series of workshops and films for the city of Oldenburg (Oldb) in North West Germany.
Lea Friedrich
Producer
Lea, coming from a 10 years nursing background, has been passionate about the medium of film since young, having collected 16 years of experience in this field as well, to then, not long ago, make a leap of faith to dedicating her path fully to film, not having looked back since.
In collaboration with AZ TU, in the producing role, she is currently supporting in the development of what we call "The Hope Film". An experimental feature length film, where the core idea has been maturing over a period of around two years and reached the stage of pre-preproduction recently. A personal project of hers, dear to her heart, is a feature length "Nursing Film", which she will be directing herself. On another personal note, living in Berlin with her partner, 3 kids and dog, she sees that, in her own words: “ 'Being a mom' makes me a healthier and more resilient artist. And I am lucky that my family believes in me and supports me on this journey."
Mariya Naumenko
Writer and Earth-Guardian
Mariya, or as she prefers, Masha, is a passionate writer and multi-disciplinary facilitator.
Maybe most importantly, an advocate for a regenerative path forward towards living life in harmony with Earth, which, in her eyes, we are a part of.
Following a holistic approach, with a devoted heart to arts, permaculture and sustainable community building - her commitment for deeper understanding of oneself, people, and environment reflects in each project.
Collaborations with AZ TU · Summer 2022 · Masha first came in for the documentary short-film production of "Dance as a Way IN" (11min), filmed at the Conscious Dance Festival Retreat on the Greek island of Lesbos. Masha's role was to interview all the facilitators in a personal, heartful and non-linear way, meaning that instead of asking everyone the same questions, it was a real and honest conversation, leading to genuine moments of connection, emotion and inspiration. (https://tinyurl.com/DanceWayIn) · Autumn 2023 · A writer-director collaboration between Masha & Omid took place for the shaping of a 12min experimental short film, (using material previously filmed in Egypt, Iran, Cameroon, Cuba, Corfu Island and more) intentionally shown just once on the evening of the 15.9.23 in the form of a multi-sensorial film experience, with the purpose of initiating a selected audience of 50 into building bridges and collaborations for a Whole Human & Healthy Earth. · Spring 2024 · For the LA based, sustainable clothing brand EYN VAS two film productions took place in Nepal in March/April 2024, that Masha co-wrote for and assisted in. One is a short, vertical IG trailer for the clothes, filmed on the hillsides of Nagarkot and in the beautiful streets of ancient kingdom Bhaktapur. The second one is a film for the knitting factory of Pravin, who is a collaborator to EYN VAS, filmed in Patan. This second one is currently in post-production and is planned to turn out as a ~10min shortfilm, highlighting the factory, people and surrounding through a small fictional story. · Summer 2024 · A writer-director collaboration produced as a short-film, captured in a small village in the mountains of Lower Mustang, Nepal, will be first outdoor test-screened in July 2024 at a castle 1h out of Berlin to an audience of friends and film lovers, before it takes it's journey onto the film-festival-circuit.
Collaborations with AZ TU · 2018-2019 · Consultancy for the feature length documentary film production "Wer ist Oldenburg? (WIO). The consultancy was taking place in form of a 3 day workshop for the producer-director team Michael Telkmann & Omid Mohadjeri, focusing on an array of different topics - most importantly on the psychological aspects of having genuine, responsive (non-reactive) conversations during the later production phase of 205 interviews being made. The consultancy helped tremendously to bringing more awareness, care and understanding into the way of interviewing, and especially helped in how to respond in conversations where people truly open up emotionally and/or speak about traumatic experiences they had in the past - learning how to welcome an interviewee into a safe space and how to complete a conversation gracefully. The lessons learned in this workshop were then passed on by the producer-director duo to the team of 3 interviewers, preparing everyone well for the actual production.  · 2020 · A 6 months consultation period for the development of a fictional feature film screenplay in form of regular 2on1 or 2on2 (including the co-writer Michael Lane in collaboration with initiating director Omid Mohadjeri) sessions in Berlin, in support of developing characters and their behaviors within the story with psychological accuracy as well as supporting the overarching flow of the script development by sometimes bringing clarity/understanding into situations where creative obstacles were faced.
